A spiritual response to gun crime?

This quote speaks to me of a part we can all play in responding to gun crime, whatever our political persuasion about the human causes for it. We can check our own mental landscape for any intrusion of hatred of others in our thinking and spiritually rise to counter that imposition on our divinely gifted, all-loving natures as God’s own reflections.

Years of experience have taught me that when I humbly do that, solutions emerge that I might otherwise never have seen.

Thank you for this! How useful to idenity hate as an imposition of violent thinking. And to recognize that we have a choice, we don’t have to be engulfed by the emotion of hate. Aligning with the power of God’s love disabuses us of hate and shows us genuine peace within.
