Healing prayer narrative: young woman freed from constant seizures

On Wednesday evenings, Christian Science churches around the world host meetings which include spontaneously shared “experiences, testimonies, and remarks on Christian Science” for anyone curious to hear these accounts.

Such experiences and testimonies of the practicality of the power of God’s love can range from the modest to the marvellous.

This blog’s weekly Wednesday focus is on what I have been calling healing prayer narratives, and this week we are featuring a healing shared on the internet by another church.

What is a healing prayer narrative? Immediately below is a link to the narrative of a prayer-based healing found on the internet. (Click here for a more in-depth explanation of why we are highlighting it on this blog.)

Freedom from severe seizures: Today we’re taking a look at a moving healing through prayer that was recently posted on a Christian website here in the UK called Network Norwich & Norfolk.  This is a testimony to the freedom a student has gained from a severe case of seizures which doctors told her she would have for the rest of her life, to which she responded that “I wasn’t living – I was just existing.”…… (Read “Prayer heals Norwich student from seizures“)

My favourite quote in this healing narrative: “During the time that I was being prayed for, I was still recovering from the seizure. Inside I was crying out to God for help because I couldn’t speak due to the seizure. When I had recovered I felt so different, my brain felt really strange but it was a great feeling that something was happening, that God was healing me. I told my mum and she said hold on to that thought, it will help you to claim your healing.  Since then I have not had a seizure. For some time the enemy tried to tell me that I hadn’t been healed and I had to stand firm on what God has done for me, telling those thoughts and feelings to go in Jesus’ name. Now I have my life back. I am back in college and enjoying life again.”

This is a beautiful healing. Thanks so much for sharing it.
About a month ago, a man shared with me a healing he had of decades of migraine headaches. It took place at an outdoor healing service at his church, and involved laying-on of hands. He was also healed of long-standing anger. He knew he was a new man, with peace of mind and a happiness he had not known before.
I’m grateful to see Christian churches incorporating healing into their mission.

That’s lovely, Sandi – thanks for sharing it. Yes, I am moved by all healing that has that element of moving people’s spiritual lives forward, as well as bringing the needed physical improvement. Great!

My wife is currently going through constant seizures. I know the God that I serve will surely deliver her because that seizures is not a part of her life. Please friends pray for us.

Let me know what you think!
