Letter Published in Walsall Chronicle

Dear Sir,

The letter ‘Beliefs can be used to justify almost anything’ by ‘Rationalist of Rushall’, incorrectly implies that Christian Science doesn’t heal, and that Christian Scientists have no choice in choosing their method of healing, neither of which is true.

Christian Science is about healing through prayer by gaining a tangible sense of ever-present spiritual laws which include one and all. The Christian Science church is a group of free-thinking individuals who are at liberty to choose any form of treatment, medical, spiritual or whatever.

In my personal experience I have found Christian Science to be very effective in dealing with my health needs and other human situations. By reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, any person can discover and apply these laws for themselves.  Numerous accounts of people being healed through the application of Christian Science can be found on http://www.christianscience.com and http://www.spirituality.com.

It is unfortunate that people feel the need to dismiss the Bible, rather than exploring it as the aid to gaining health and well-being that it can be.
